KARNAL: A government school teacher and his accomplice were booked on Friday for allegedly raping two minor girls in a village in Karnal district. Teacher Jaimal, who teaches at government senior secondary school in Sambhi village, and his accomplice Ramesh Padhwala were booked under Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and under sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 of IPC for allegedly raping two girls who are students of class XII.
The victims told the police that they were offered lift by the teacher in his car while they were on their way to school. The girls alleged that both accused took them to a secluded spot in Karnal and raped them.After that the girls returned home and informed their parents about the incident. They also told their parents that the teacher and his accomplice threatened them not to disclose the matter to anyone.
After listening to the girls' plight, their parents decided to lodge a police complaint against both the accused. Police booked the accused after investigating the matter. Taraori station house officer Yogesh Kumar said both accused were booked on the basis of accusations leveled against the teacher and his accomplice. He said no arrests had been made so far.
